Let Google pay for your incoming calls

MyfavesDidn't buy Google stock?  No problem, you can still make money off Google.
Now that some of you have been paid handsomely to get a Blackberry from T-Mobile, consider this trick to get free incoming calls with a T-Mobile myFaves plan.  As you might know, myFaves is a T-Mobile plan where you get unlimited calling (inbound and outbound) for 5 phone numbers.  As you probably don't know, Google has a free service called GrandCentral, which gives you a phone number that will forward calls to several phone numbers.  Combine these two services, and you'll get free incoming calls:

  1. Sign up for GrandCentral for free (reserve a phone number -- it will be a local one)

  2. Set up your GrandCentral account to ring your T-Mobile number

  3. Set your GrandCentral number as one of your myFave numbers

  4. Give your GrandCentral phone number to friends and enjoy free incoming calls

The only downside to this is that you will have two numbers, which might be confusing to people.  But it might also be a good thing if you use one number for work (you can tell GrandCentral when to forward calls and when not to).
