The Wall Street Journal costs $338 for a 1-year subscription (and prices will rise). But few people pay full price, instead taking advantage of various discounts:
- Limited-time WSJ promo ($100, print & online)
- Student discounts ($100-125, print & online)
- Amazon eco-friendly ($89, online)
By far the best deal is redeeming frequent flier miles for an annual subscription -- a great way to use some orphan miles. Almost all airlines now offer a 1-year subscription for 1,700 miles (a steep discount to the normal 3,300 mile rate):
This is a fantastic value, except that it isn't super eco-friendly (you can add a online subscription for $50). You spend miles worth about $20, and those miles might have expired anyway. To balance this (sometimes) boring publication, you can use your miles for other magazines or perhaps take advantage of this Entertainment Weekly 1-year subscription for $10.
