Costco Amex card $100 credit

For a limited time, American Express is giving you a $100 statement credit if you sign up for the Costco TrueEarnings American Express card.  The bonus offer of $100 may not sound like much given the crazy offers of 100,000 miles/points, but this is a great card that gives you 4% cash back on gasoline, 3% back on restaurants, 2% on travel, and 1% for everything else.  But unlike the mega mile bonuses we are seeing, this card has a business case that you should be wary of.  The reason that Costco offers you such generous rewards is because in order for you to get your cash back, you need to walk into a Costco store.  Good luck keeping that wad of cash on your way out, because the marketers are betting that you'll turn around and spend it in the store!
