Stay in $1000 hotel rooms for $100/night

Hyatt is again offering 1 free night for every 2 stays in its "Big Welcome Back" promotion (registration and membership in its frequent stay program required).  Here's the way to maximize value:

1. Go to Costco and get Hyatt gift checks, which cost $80 for $100 in value.
2. Stay at a cheap Hyatt for about $60/night (usually a Hyatt Place on weekends) -- you don't actually have to sleep there, just check in (or not, but you'd have to call the manager to make sure you get stay credit).
3. Pay with your gift check (to save an extra 20%)
4. Repeat
5. Redeem your free night at your luxury Hyatt property, like the Park Hyatt Paris Vendome (€640/night) or the Park Hyatt Sydney (A$645/night).

If you play your cards right, that's about $1000 of hotel value for $100 and shuttling around a bit.  You can also sweeten this deal by getting treated like a VIP by registering for free and instant Platinum status.  That should give you free Internet and some better treatment.  And you can register for bonus points at certain properties.
