MacMall is selling brand new MacBook Airs for $1000, after a $200 rebate. This is the world's thinnest notebook and very slick. Charlie Rose got a black eye trying to save his MacBook Air as he tripped and fell (it was between the MacBook and his head, and the MacBook won). I guess it's that good.
This model is a little light on memory (2GB of RAM and an 80GB HDD), but you can undo many screws and upgrade them yourself. Sales tax is charged in California (along with a $8 recycling fee), and shipping starts at $7. MacMall also bundles Parallels (free after rebate) or VMWare Fusion ($20 extra) for those of you needing to run Windows.
