TurboTax is usually a pretty reliable way of doing your taxes, but this year they have upped the ante. If you sold any taxable investments in 2008, you'll need to step up from TurboTax Deluxe to TurboTax Premier ($30 more). Intuit is really trying to pull a fast one on us. They also tried to charge $20 for printing a paper copy (for those who don't want to e-file). Here are the current best deals:
- TurboTax Deluxe (CD): $38.49 (price raised to $53.99) (federal file is free, state e-file is $19.99)
- TurboTax Premier (CD): $63.99 (federal file is free, state e-file is $19.99)
- TurboTax Deluxe (online): $48.65 (including 1 state)
- TurboTax Premier (online): $63.65 (including 1 state)
