The Delta and Northwest Airlines merger means that their frequent flier programs, Delta Skymiles and Northwest Worldperks, will become one. Starting today, you can transfer miles between the two programs, but you'll need to link your accounts online first. It's great to combine miles so you can redeem for something better, and you also save the hassle down the road of combining your account. (American did a similar point merging when it bought TWA, but it didn't offer any bonus miles!
