Today Amazon is ending its post-order price-matching policy, which let you get a refund on purchases if Amazon lowered its prices within 30 days after your purchase. This policy was great -- effectively letting you get the lowest price that Amazon offers within a 30-day window. I have received hundreds of dollars through this policy. It's a sad, sad day.
Starting September 1, purchases will no longer be covered by this policy. In anticipation of this change, here are a few deals on bigger-ticket items at Amazon that you could take advantage of:
- Samsung 40" LCD TV for
$883$1,083 (Model: LN40A550) (update: it appears the purported $200 rebate is not a rebate but rather a gift certificate for Mountedmemories.com) - Sony Blu-Ray Player for $229 (Model: BDP-S300, 1080p)
