Amazon offers Blackberry Curves for free and better than free (after rebate). There are 2 models being offered:
- Blackberry 8310 from AT&T (get paid $75): Features GPS, which you can use with Google Maps. Unfortunately no Wi-Fi. (Single $75 rebate expires on July 19)
- Blackberry 8320 from T-Mobile (free): Features Wi-Fi connectivity, which is great for web surfing or using T-Mobile's Hotspot@Home service (free minutes when you've got a Wi-Fi connection). No GPS though. (Single $100 rebate expires on June 25)
Here are 2 tips once you buy these Blackberries (or if you already have one):
- Download Opera Mini. It is far far better than the built-in Blackberry browser. Most websites work with it and it's a pleasure to use.
- Use your Blackberry as a broadband connection for your laptop. You can "tether" your laptop to your Blackberry using Bluetooth and then use your Blackberry's internet connection from your laptop anywhere you have cell coverage.
