The Economist for 3,200 Continental miles

Economist
Most airlines offer the opportunity to redeem miles for magazines and newspapers, including the Wall Street Journal.  One of the best deals, which isn't always available, is redeeming for The Economist magazine, which is the best source of dry but informative articles.  Currently, only Continental offers a 1-year subscription to the Economist for 3,200 miles.  This is a really good deal, since it normally goes for $117/year.

If you don't have any Continental miles, transfer some points over from your Starwood account (at a 1:1 rate).  Accumulating Starwood points is easy with the American Express Starwood Preferred Guest card.

Great tip. I have only one quibble: how DARE you call The Economist "dry"? In the sense of a supremely well-made martini, yes, perhaps, but other than that...
For shame!

Dry=boring. The Economist is definitely dry. Good call, Rob Deals.

Rob Deals wishes to one day have a readership as educated, refined, and affluent as the Economist's. So then they wouldn't have to visit Rob Deals.
