Amazon price matching (why deflation rocks!)

A policy that many people aren't aware of is Amazon's willingness to credit you the difference between your purchase price and any (lower) future price (for 30 days after your purchase).  For example, I bought the Canon SD1100IS camera through Amazon for $238 on Friday.  A few hours later, the price (momentarily) dropped to $228, and the next day I e-mailed Amazon and got a credit for the difference.  Doing this on big-ticket items could save you a lot of money.



You don't have to spend 30 days hitting refresh on my browser.  Instead, there are Amazon price tracking websites that do the work for you, such as:
